Bankroll Management for Donks

I thought I would give you some advice about Bankroll Management.
If you check what the so called experts say about Bankroll management is that when playing a tournament you should have about 40 – 50 buyins. Well, this is rubbish, and thats why these so called experts write about bankroll management instead of actually making money playing poker. You will never find me writing about bankroll management I’m to busy playing poker.

Donks Poker Tournament

So I’ve deposited in Raider Poker. Only deposited a little. $500 (about 0.0000001% of my bankroll) just to try it out.
Lets see if I can turn it into $10 million. Should be easy!

So the first tournament I played is just $3 tournament. I should play for more as I’m great, but who cares.
And those idiots at Raider Poker made it a guaranteed $150 prize fund even though theres only 30 donks in it. Idoits!

Cash Game Poker

So after getting put out with that idiot hitting his queen, I thought I would go and play some cash tables at Raider. So put in $500, should be up to $5000 in about 20 minutes.

Beating the Donks

This has been a concept that most players think is a possible thing to do, think on people. You can not beat the poker donk no matter how you play your choosen game. A Poker donk can be found at all tables and at all levels.

Avoiding them is the key to beating them, this has been said before but how many of you reading this actually take player notes on these people? If you are beaten by a donk you take their name and a few notes not to go looking for them for revenge but to avoid them in the first place. The favourite place to find a donk will be in the MTT game simply because the buy in is small enough for them. The further you move up the less donks you will run into, as I said you won’t avoid them but you can cut back on the chance of running into them.

Poker Quote’s

Here’s a list of great poker quotes:

“One day a chump, the next day a champion. What a difference a day makes in tournament poker.”
Mike Sexton

“No matter how much you may want to think of Holdem as a card game played by people, in many respects it is even more valid to think of it as a game about people that happens to be played with cards.”
Phil Hellmuth

“I believe in poker the way I believe in the American Dream. Poker is good for you. It enriches the soul, sharpens the intellect, heals the spirit, and – when played well, nourishes the wallet. ”
Lou Krieger

“You call, gonna be all over, baby.”
Scotty Nguyen (sitting with the nuts as Kevin McBride is trying to decide whether to call him on the last hand of the 1998 WSOP)
